What you need to know about herpes zoster
Zoster, also known as shingles, is caused by a
virus that is the nerve root ignite. Sometimes it is a secondary result of
certain diseases of the central nervous system in which nerve roots are
involved. Tumors, syphilis, and other disorders are among the main causes, but
rare.
There is also a relationship between varicella-zoster and
varicella cases were reported after someone has had contact with the
patient with shingles, and vice versa.
The red areas and water blisters that burst are similar to
cold sores, but they appear along the route throughout the affected nerve.
Every few days new crops appear. The disease is usually in 4-6 weeks and
usually covers only one side of the body. When the blisters dry, they form
scabs as shingles sometimes leave scars when they heal.
Shingles symptoms

sensitivity and pain pain along the course of the nerve, a few days before the
redness appears. Sometimes there is fever, chills, and weakness, but disappear
when the rash erupts. With the outbreak of blisters, it is uncomfortable,
burning sensation. Even after the blisters are gone and the area is dry,
sensitive nerve pain may persist for some time.
If the ocular nerve is involved, a severe form of herpes
zoster can develop, causing as eye pain, tearing, light sensitivity, and
even the formation of corneal ulcers.
Complications. The only complication occurs when the
eye is involved. Without treatment and careful management, corneal ulceration
and blindness may result.
Prevention. There is no known method to prevent
shingles. The disease is mild in most cases, and presents few problems. The
doctor will examine the patient to see if there are undetected primary causes
such as tumors or syphilis. And it will help the patient guard against
secondary infections by careful local care and good skin hygiene. These drugs
are available for treatment are used to try to limit the spread of infection
