Herpes zoster or shingles is a rash that is
caused by the same virus that causes chickenpox - varicella shingles.
Early signs and symptoms shingles include pain, burning or tingling
which can be very severe and the onset of rash. Rashes are red patches of
blisters and unlikely to appear on the face, ears, eyes and mouth. When the
blisters dry up, there will be scabs that fall over time. There will be a small
chance that the person with these bulbs will scar.

Causes of Shingles
Chickenpox can leave inactive virus in your body.
They just become inactive and are never really eliminated from the body's
nervous system. When the virus reactivates after a while, it can causeshingles. You could probably contract shingles when they are older
than sixty years have had chickenpox before their first birthday, and a
weakened immune system.
Common causes activation of the dormant virus can include
stress, a deficiency in the immune system and cancer. These, however, are not
definitive as the real cause of the activation of the virus has not yet been
found. For this reason, all the people who have had chickenpox are
candidates for this disease.
Shingles Treatments
Antiviral drugs are often prescribed by doctors as the treatment
